Los Angeles, July 14th, 2017

The creative economy has been the lifeblood of Southern California. Our region has grown into an international destination as tourists flock to Hollywood to see where the stars live and work. Unfortunately, many of our performing artists, directors, producers, can't work where the tourists are coming to see them in Los Angeles. They are in other states and other countries working to make a living because California has not met the challenge of needed tax credits that are now key to bringing investors to film and television production. Friday, July 14th at 8 p.m. until 2 a.m. Bring Hollywood Home and the historic (1931) jazz and music venue will celebrate our seven years (since 2010) of work to bring the jobs back to California through expanded tax credits and better business models. We have many great milestones including helping elect a Mayor, LA Mayor Eric Garcetti, who declared job outsourcing and the loss of jobs in Hollywood a crisis when he took office in 2013. We were there! Promoting the public policy leadership that has seen a three fold increase in tax credits, and new business models that have helped to bring many productions back to California. LA LA Land is a celebration of our city of dreams. The film is part of the family friendly legacy of our work to Bring Hollywood Home. We advocated for family friendly R with a purpose films that are uplifting taking us back to a Hollywood that was no so prone to violence and dark themes, but, human affirming and uplifting.
