This Harvard Business Review piece by Sarah Milstein is superb - it has 9 wildly implementable ways conference and panel organizers can welcome and recruit speakers from a range of groups rather than The Usual Suspects.

Importantly: if your conference, online summit or podcast has a history of selecting only one kind of speaker (white men or white women, for example), it's essential that you address this and commit publicly to change. That way, when other speakers look at your past events and see the evidence of who is usually chosen, they won't decline to send you a pitch or a proposal in the first place - because they've seen that YOU see the problem and that they ARE welcome.
