Israel Red Sea Jazz Festival Starts Tomorrow! Make Some Noise!

Hello supporters,
Tomorrow the Israel Red Sea Jazz Festival begins. As you know, we've reached our goal of 20,000 people calling on Jazz musicians to boycott the festival. This amazing feat could not have been achieved without you and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Now we want one last push from you to make sure that all 20,000 of us are heard. Here are 3 things you can do:
1. If you haven't yet, please join us and SIGN the petition https://www.causes.com/actions/1757955-dont-let-the-red-sea-jazz-festival-whitewash-israels-apartheid
2. SHARE the petition with your friends and family on all your social networks
3. Tweet to news networks and the artists (their tweeter handles: @LarryGoldings @alfredomusic @andreasbroger @OfficialRuslanS @Sonekala @SLIXSmusic @kameradius)

The Red Sea Jazz Festival is a bi-yearly event in Israel's city of Eilat. The festival could have been a festival to celebrate the free spirit of Jazz music, and this beautiful tradition of oppressed minorities. Instead, it is a government event of propaganda, which uses Jazz music as a tool for whitewashing military occupation, apartheid and oppression of the Palestinian people:

"We see culture as a Hasbara [public relations] tool of the first rank, and I do not differentiate between Hasbara and culture" ~ Nissim Ben-Sheetrit, former deputy director general of the Israel Foreign Ministry

This year, the occupation-profiteering Golan Heights Winery and the ethnic cleansing Negev Development join the list of sponsors. (more on this at https://goo.gl/SVFLvw)

In view of all this, we ask Jazz Musicians: Please cancel your participation in the festival. We ask people from all around the world: Add your signature to this ongoing campaign to boycott the Red Sea Jazz Festival. https://www.causes.com/actions/1757955-dont-let-the-red-sea-jazz-festival-whitewash-israels-apartheid
