Update #1 ·

Comment period closes March 2, 2015!

Monarch butterflies are one of the most beautiful and iconic insects in the world, but the use of herbicides like Monsanto’s Roundup on genetically engineered crops is destroying a significant portion of their breeding habitat in North America, sending monarch populations into a tailspin.

This grave threat to monarchs led Center for Food Safety and our allies to file a groundbreaking legal action to list monarchs as a threatened species under the Endangered Species Act (ESA).

Now the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Serrvice has a public comment period open through March 2nd on whether to list the monarch butterfly under the ESA.

This comment period marks the final opportunity for public input in the regulatory process - don't miss your chance to comment!
