Meet Hattie and the Lucky Seven, a darling family of pups and their mom who were found wandering around the railroad tracks in Terrell, Texas. A volunteer from Life Long Rescue found the malnourished family and brought them back to the shelter where they were nursed back to health with nutritious meals donated by GreaterGood’s Rescue Bank program.

Today is #GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving back, and GreaterGood is giving even more by hosting a food drive to feed more hungry shelter animals like Hattie and her Lucky Seven.

One of the biggest expenses for shelters and rescue groups is feeding the animals in their care. During the holidays, freezing weather leads to extra expenses for shelters that are already overcrowded, which is why it’s so important to get involved at this time of year.

Your donation to this food drive gives twice--once by feeding hungry animals, and second by freeing up extra funds for shelters and rescues across the US when they need it most. With the help of our partners, we will transport nutritious, high quality pet food to shelters and rescue groups nationwide, where it will help animals in need.

The best part? Animals that are healthy, happy, and well-fed stand a much better chance of being adopted. Hattie and all of her pups have now found their forever homes, thanks to Rescue Bank and generous donors like yourself.

This #GivingTuesday, give the gift of wholesome meals to animals while they wait for their forever homes. Just $2.00 provides 80 meals for animals in shelters--Help us meet our goal to feed as many shelter animals as possible today:
