Exciting news! You'll have the opportunity to hear the author of the book, War of the Whales, that I wrote you about earlier this week. Josh Horwitz will be interviewed on "The Diane Rehm Show" this Tuesday on National Public Radio. Tune in to learn more about this issue. Information is power when we use it to inform ourselves, our families and friends. The better we understand the harms caused by Navy sonar, the more powerfully we can join together to stop the needless killing of our whale and dolphin populations.
In less than two weeks, more than 45,000 people have signed our petition to President Obama to end the Navy's war on whales and dolphins. We need your help to network with your friends & family so we can stop this maiming, deafening and killing once and for all! If you've already signed the petition, please pass it on: http://petitions.moveon.org/sign/stop-the-navys-war-on?mailing_id=23682&source=s.icn.em.cr&r_by=5158625
Our new website is up and running, thanks to Wes and Nicole. Check it out for more information on how sonar affects all or our ocean friends.
So many wonderful people are stepping forward to assist, and I'll be telling you more about them soon. I'll always let you know what you can do to help, if you are willing. No pressure, but there is a lot to do!
If you haven't gotten hold of Josh's book, War of the Whales, consider it. Or ask your library to order a copy for your community to read. You can learn more about the book and read the first chapter here.
With love for our Oceans and the Ones who live there,

I ran the group…
