Update #4 ·

Thank You Oklahoma's Grove School Board For Rejecting A Proposal To Reinstate Corporal Punishment!

The Grove School Board Recently Voted 3-2 Not To Reinstate Corporal Punishment.

"In addition to speaking to the board as a former board member, Rutter spoke from a pediatrician standpoint and included statistical information in his presentation to the school board.

“We haven’t had it (corporal punishment) for five years and we have survived just fine,” Coaly said." - Grove school board decides not to reinstate school spankings

Since the School Board banned corporal punishment in 2009, an amendment allowing teachers to use corporal punishment at their own discretion that was added to Oklahoma's anti-bullying laws also failed in the House last year.

Please invite your friends and family to sign the petition and to take the pledge with you to help encourage schools to replace corporal punishment with alternatives! Together we can #stopabuse and create safe schools!

Thank You Grove School Board!
