WHAT ABOUT THE REMAINING RABBITS STILL SITTING AT THE BREEDER’S?

Now, everyone is asking what happened to the remaining 70 rabbits. Please understand that we are still working with several agencies to ensure their safe transfer. The LA Animal Control has been there twice in the last 24-hrs and other agencies are getting involved slowly. However, those rabbits are still there. Bunny World Foundation volunteers are on stand by and in communication with LAAS. We are ready to take them as soon as they are available. We are as confused as you are as to WHY they are still there during this ongoing investigation.

We are inviting 100 well-spoken and POLITE supporters to join usat the next meeting of the Board of Animal Services Commissioners next Tuesday, April 8th. If you’re interested in attending, please RSVP here: 100 animal lovers needed at LAAS Commission meeting.https://www.facebook.com/events/431578216977606/433217310147030/?notif_t=plan_mall_activity

The President of the Board has told us that the All Rabbit Meeting will be put on the agenda, possibly in May, but in the meantime, we need to be present at EVERY meeting! For-profit breeders must spay/neuter ANY rabbit that is being sold as pets. Rabbit sales must be tracked and available for potential audits. Failure to spay/neuter any rabbit sold as a pet must be penalized with set fine and suspension of practice. This practice will mirror the current practices and scrutiny that is held accountable for the non-profit rabbit rescues.

Thank you for your patience, good wishes, and all the help and support you offered during this difficult time.

Cheers!
