A brand of hair care products called “Organic by Africa’s Best” was sued in California for its phony organic name. It turns out there are no organic ingredients in these products – but some of these phony “organic” products, including products marketed to young children, contain chemicals that can cause blindness, and one was recently found with high levels of a cancer-causing ingredient.

In California, the company was forced to change their phony organic name – but they still sell the falsely-labeled products in CVS and other stores in 49 states.

We think CVS should take action to protect children and families from these dangerous, phony organic products. CVS CEO Larry J. Merlo can send a strong message that we want safer products and truth in organic labeling by removing all “Organic by Africa’s Best” products from their stores nationwide.
