Gaby Santizo visited 'La Puya' in 2013 as part of a GHRC delegation. Of the experience, Gaby says: "If there has been a moment in my life where I have been challenged to ask myself 'What do you stand for?' it was at 'La Puya.' I saw the mothers in the kitchen cooking a meal, children running around, and the men who greeted us in the entrance. These families were here, in peace, taking a stand for the environment, which is at risk of being contaminated. I celebrate with them and stand in solidarity for these two years that they have been able to protect their lands, in peace and love."
