Please let’s all do our part to stop all the suffering of animals who are the tragic result of overbreeding!
We must be part of the solution rather than part of the problem. It all starts with the pet owner being responsible by spaying or neutering his own pets! The problem is when people do not spay or neuter their pets. This is what leads to the surplus pet population. The tragic result of such a surplus pet population is that many animals are given away free or for very little money to bad and even abusive owners, are abandoned, or end up being put down at shelters simply because of the vast numbers of dogs and cats that come into the shelters every day! They just don’t have room for all of them and consequently can only give them a very limited amount of time to find another home before they are compelled to put them down as they have a steady stream of animals coming into an already crowded shelter every single day! Ask yourself is this fair? How would you like to be treated like this... as if your life was worthless?

And instead of buying a pet from a pet store (which is the worst thing you can do) because these animals come from puppy mills which force dogs to live out their entire lives in extreme confinement and filthy conditions or instead of going to a breeder, choose instead to adopt! Support your local shelters and animal control facilities or rescue groups in your area that have wonderful and loving pets just waiting to be adopted! Also remember for every puppy or kitten that you bring into the world, you are denying another animal at a shelter or pound from finding a home! This is why it is so important to spay or neuter your pet. At the same time you aren’t adding to the surplus pet population, and you are also increasing the chances of homeless animals to find homes thus helping to reduce the excess population and the needless suffering!

Please think about the following quote and the responsibility we have to companion animals to put an end to this tragedy!

"I ask for the privilege of not being born ...not to be born until you can assure me of a home and a master to protect me, and a right to live as long as I am physically able to enjoy life...not to be born until my body is precious and men have ceased to exploit it because it is cheap and plentiful."
