The horrible way female asylum seekers are treated in the UK.
A report has just been released magnifying the torturous and inhumane conditions that female asylum seekers are facing in UK detention centers.
Having already faced emotional, psychological and physical distress in fleeing their home countries where many were raped, trafficked or tortured, some of these women have stated that they would rather die than be detained.
From 2011 to 2013, Aderonke was one of them.
Now, Aderonke's fight for asylum speaks to a flawed immigration system in the UK that is systematically set up for abuse and failure. The 'burden of proof' means that these female asylum seekers are guilty until proven innocent. We will stop at nothing to make sure that she remains safe from these horrible centers and from Nigeria's anti-gay laws.
You can help.
Please tell at least one friend of Aderonke's story - and ask them to join you in signing the petition.
