Iraqi Cabinet approves the formation of the Nineveh Plain Province
Dear Cause Supporter
It gives me great pleasure to inform you that the Iraqi cabinet has approved the formation of three new provinces and one of these being the Nineveh Plain. Although the final approval must be voted on by the Parliament of Iraq, we're certain this will be realized in the near future.
This doesn't mean the Kurdish Regional Government will stop trying to annex the new province once it's established to its region, but will make the likelihood of that happening less probable than before, since the new province will be tied to Baghdad and will have a budget of its own.
On behalf of the Executive Committee of the American Mesopotamian Organization I want to thank each and everyone of you for your support of this cause. We have a lot of work to do and many issues to bring to the forefront, issues concerning Assyrians in particular and the Christians of the Middle East in general, that the mainstream media tends to not report on and completely ignore most of the time.
Again, thank you for your support and God bless
