Ever since the national juvenile justice reform community made the decision to target a handful of the worst killers in the nation for their efforts to reduce their sentences, the victims families of these crimes have suffered immeasurably. Offender advocates have cared nothing that victims families were heard in this public policy debate over what was appropriate sentences for the small number of teens who rank among the worst murderers in the nation. We have organized a victim community called NOVJL at www.teenkillers.org and we ask that everyone on any side of this issue advocate that the victims families are well treated in this process, no matter the outcome.
