I give my time to support the Movement for Adoption Apology - a campaign to get a government apology for the adoption practices of the 1950s - 1980s which adversely affected the lives of many young women who lost their children simply because they were not married, without any further information about their child's wellbeing. This had a negative impact on their lives. Also in many cases, the lives of their children, who had little or no information about their family of origin, were adversely affected.
This afternoon on National Day of Giving I will be working on the MAA website.
Good giving - good for the giver, good for the recipient.
