I work in an emergency room and I treat at least 3 people a day who have antibiotic resistant bacterial infections. 2 days ago I treated a 4 year old girl with MRSA. While over use of antibiotics in humans is a problem the fact is that the vast majority of antibiotics used in the USA is on farm animals destined to become human consumption. The public health threat this process is creating should be enough to have it outlawed.
