I spent the majority (29 years) of my Federal Civil Service career as a Research Microbiologist working on tropical disease initiatives (primary Leishmaniasis diagnostics) at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR), and therefore I am very aware and concerned about the state of the Third World tropical disease threats.
