Last night a fellow pedestrian did something amazing. He saw a couple arguing on a corner, recognized the signs of abuse, and called the police. Then, instead of leaving an uncomfortable situation, he stayed on the corner - knowing that the yelling and shoving was much less likely to escalate to something even more dangerous for the young woman if there were bystanders. Thank you, you set a great example for all of us.
