Update #3 ·

Playful Learning With Hands-On Maker Education

We are so excited by the 18,000+ pledges! The amount of support we've seen to transform education is thrilling, and we thank you so much for being a part of the movement. Please continue to spread the word and ask others to take the pledge to bring creativity and playful lessons into the classroom. Our goal is to pass the 20,000 mark by the time we hit November, so keep up the great work!

Our Educade team wanted to share this inspiring teacher post titled "STEAM and Maker Education: Inclusive, Engaging, Self-Differentiating." The maker movement is gaining mainstream attention and entails hands-on, DIY activities and projects that allow kids (and adults!) to explore, deconstruct, and problem solve in the subject areas of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math). We know that more engagement in the classroom means more kids staying in school and mastering the skills necessary to pursue 21st century careers.

Read on to learn more about this hands-on movement and one teacher's perspective on effective playful learning, as well as her observations on why it's a success. Play on!
