National parks and NatureBridge campuses reopen!
We are excited and relieved today as national parks across the country reopen following the end of the government shutdown last night.
The national parks where NatureBridge provides programs were closed for 16 days, and more than 2,000 children and teens had their NatureBridge experiences canceled or curtailed by the shutdown.
We’re happy to report NatureBridge programs will resume as normal on Sunday when the first students return to Yosemite. The trails there and in all national parks have been too quiet these past two weeks. We’re sure you share our relief that parks will again echo with the sounds of children and teens learning, exploring, and experiencing the wonder and science of nature.
We know you value hands-on learning in national parks, and we invite you to join the NatureBridge community to stay up-to-date on the latest in environmental science and connect with like-minded folks.
