The International community voted to protect porbeagle, oceanic white tip and hammerhead sharks as well as manta rays at the recent CITES meeting. The decision as made with over a 2/3 majority vote after sound science was presented. Now, a few countries threaten to undermine this critical treaty.
If this is allowed we will loose the strength of international treaties, and all these animals will be in peril. Please send a clear message. We are all accountable. We all depend upon healthy ocean fisheries. We must apply pressure on greedy nations choosing to ignore the international consensus.
