Student bikers gather around Berkeley High School's energizer station on Bike to School Day on May 9th, 2013. This was the first time Berkeley High has ever hosted the event which is surprising due to the high amount of student and staff bikers on campus. Students who biked to school were given free coupons, stickers and filled out pledge cards. Berkeley High School Green Team hosted the event and managed the station.

Berkeley High School has an enormous student population of nearly 4,000 students, however the number of Bike Racks on campus is very limited. If there were more bike racks, it would encourage more students to bike to school as well as provide more convenience to existing bikers.
