I think that CITES should consider changing their Aim as per this petition, to ensure the survival of the fauna & flora that they are tasked to protect. Currently it does not prevent animals being inhumanely "farmed" and kept in situations that are not ideal to their survival.
The proposed change to their Aim would ensure survival as Mother Nature intended, NOT as "farm animals" to benefit a minority.
