EVENT DATE: SEP 20, 2013
On August 31, 2013, a 1 to 2 year old female dog was found near death in Quincy, Mass. around Carrolls Lane, near the campus of Quincy Medical Center and Whitwell Street playground. Quincy Police Department, The Animal Rescue League of Boston and Norfolk District Attorney Michael Morrissey are seeking help from the public in identifying the person or persons responsible for this horrific animal abuse.

According to the Animal Rescue League of Boston's cruelty report posted on Thursday, due to the nature of Puppy Doe's injuries, she could not be saved.

A necropsy performed on Puppy Doe revealed the most heartbreaking short life of an innocent puppy who may not have ever had a happy day. She had been starved, repeatedly abused and tortured. There had been multiple broken bones by being pulled apart, stab wounds to her eyes, and a particularly disgusting serpent like split cut into the puppy's tongue.

Her bones were calloused from repeated blows to her head, and her back seemed to have been hit with a baseball bat.

Dr. Martha Smith, of the Animal Rescue League of Boston, told the Boston Herald this was the worst case of animal cruelty and abuse she has ever seen. Dr. Smith stated:

“She was a rack of beaten bones. Her joints were pulled apart like Medieval times. She was beaten, stabbed, burned over weeks to months and maybe her whole life. And could not walk. When I saw how vulnerable she was and I understood immediately the duration of her suffering, my heart collapsed...The last thing we can give her is justice. We have to weep, because if we don’t weep we become numb.”

Authorities now believe this level of sadistic cruelty may be involving other animals and are pleading with the public to help find those responsible for such a reprehensible deed.

We would like to raise a reward for information about the sub-human that did this, as anyone capable of committing these acts on another living being will not stop at one dog and will almost guaranteed move onto to humans.

All proceeds will go directly to the Animal Rescue League of Boston who cared for this sweet girl.
