The Queensland Centre for Photography is an amazing institution, with skillful and visionary staff, that is vital for Queensland artists and photographers’ progress and promotion.
This original institution contributes to the diversity of the cultural life in Brisbane and to the development of an artistic community, essential to the further development of the cultural industry in the city.
Their public programs, festival, incredibly rich and pedagogic website, as well as their web magazine Luna Cornea are only a few examples of how they provide the local artists and the general public with education tools and the freshest information about international artistic trends.
The QCP has been developing a specialized international network, through original approaches such as art fairs participation and the development of partnerships, and has promoted successfully Queensland and Australia's talent internationally, helping the artists build their careers.
For all these reasons and more, I encourage the Queensland Government to continue supporting the QCP.
