Guess Who is in Police Custody after Armed Domestic Violence Attack...
At this point, Florida officials would be remiss to not revoke George Zimmerman's concealed carry permit.
Zimmerman is in police custody after threatening to shoot his estranged wife Shellie on Monday, September 8th. Shellie cited Zimmerman's erratic and verbally abusive behavior when she filed for divorce last week. Zimmermanalso violently attacked Shellie's father and smashed an iPad with footage taken during the incident.
In the weeks since being acquitted for killing Trayvon Martin, Zimmerman has: violently attacked family members, bought a new gun, been dropped by his own lawyer, posed for photos in front of a shotgun factory, and been pulled over for speeding while armed.
Tell Florida officials: Zimmerman is unstable. It's past time to revoke his gun rights.
This erratic behavior is beyond the requirements for Florida officials to revoke Zimmerman's concealed carry permit.Under Florida statute 790.06, section 3: The department shall suspend a license or the processing of an application for a license if the licensee or applicant is issued an injunction that restrains the licensee or applicant from committing acts of domestic violence or acts of repeat violence.
Zimmerman received and injunction following a domestic violence incident in 2005 with a former partner, and also was charged but not convicted of felony violence against a police officer in the same year.
Make sure your friends have signed: NO Gun Rights for Zimmerman!
