So, I'm a big Rdio user. It's my crack. It does, however, fail on music discovery. I typically find what I like elsewhere, and bring it into my Rdio collection. A big part of the failure of Rdio on discovery is that it bases its discovery (largely) on a recommendation engine. Songza's playlists are all human curated, and they have a pretty unparalleled balance of songs therein. Human curation wins, in my opinion.
All that said, when you surround a beautiful mound with tasteless waste --- think: their interface, ads model and weird feature priority --- then, even the beauty falls flat.
Songza, I don't want to quit you.
But I will.

Signing this will help deliver a clear message to the Songza team that this deficiency breaks any hopes they have of being a music discovery app. Rdio and others are starting to get really good at helping users surface good music, and they have the added advantage of being a library of music --- so discovery leads to collection.
