Our youngest daughter Isabelle has a bi-lateral cleft lip and palate. Isabelle has had a number of surgeries to correct this and will continue to have more over the next 14 years. There are a number of related challenges that affect Isabelle. Isabelle requires speech therapy and is currently awaiting a new set of grommets to prevent glue ear. Isabelle is confident, bubbly, resilient and has great friends. Isabelle and our whole family has benefited immensely from the support of her friends at Face It:Cleft NZ.
