Update on February 26, 2013

GREAT NEWS!!

Vice Mayor Barbara Sharief has pulled her Motion 52A which would have set an agenda for lobbying the Florida Legislature to allow Breed Specific Legislation in Broward County. After many, many members of the public came out to testify against Breed Specific Legislation, Vice Mayor Sharief decided to pull her proposal.

We are very grateful and thankful for all of your support as this had not only Bully Breed lovers in Broward County on the edge, but also Bully Breed lovers across the state of Florida.  Thank you to each of you who signed and shared this petition.  For now, we can rest easy, however, we realize that not all states and municipalities have been this successful and this is why we encourage others to organize and mobilize their communities the way that Broward Residents have done.  Punishment of these dogs is not the answer - it's the irresponsible owners that government needs to go after.

Please - if there is anything that we can do to help you in your community to educate the public and protect these and other beautiful breeds from harm feel free to reach out to us (me and my sister).

Punish the Deed NOT the Breed.

Woof.
