Update #2 ·

Update on March 13, 2013

Since the launch of this campaign more than 41,000 signers have stood up for Rhonda Lee and her choice to respond to remarks made about her appearance especially her hair. Not long after this controversy 26 people including 20 young children were gunned down in Newtown, CT at Sandy Hook Elementary School. Out of respect for this incredible tragedy we made the choice to suspend messages until a more appropriate time.

The debate about guns and ownership has taken over the attention of the citizens of the United States. It is a worthy conversation and I hope that you are all participating and supporting in your local communities by staying aware of your rights and where your local legislatures stand on this very important issue.

In the meantime Rhonda Lee has maintained a low profile. However the controversy surrounding her firing has caused another debate to ensue. Women who wear their hair natural like Ms. Lee are concerned that their careers could be affected as well. Numerous attempts to reach out to KTBS have been met with silence. In the future we will share with you other campaigns that promote healthy body images and standards of beauty that are inclusive. Please continue to encourage your friends to sign this petition. We don't want to forget.

Thank you for being a part of this action.
