Update #1 ·

We hit 500 but we need so many more!!

When a single parent soldier deploys they have to give temporary custody to someone (ex-spouse, family or friend) while they are gone, when they come home they are told they can't have their kids back even if it's spelled out in an agreement. In hundreds of cases the courts have used the deployment as the sole reason for removing custody rights and even denying visitation.

I've had a huge response by many veterans who have come out saying this happened to them. Many have suffered in silence. We have to do something to reunite these families. Can you imagine for a minute being told you are having all visitation and parental rights to your kid taken away? Can you imagine what this would do to you after thinking every day, "I'm doing this for them". The whole time thinking about your kids and the next time you would get to hug them and hold them tight?

If you haven't had a chance, we need you to give both of your senators a call. This is so important. Unless we flood them with messages from their constituents we aren't going to get their attention. All you have to do is leave a message telling them you want them to support Turner HR 1898. Below is the link to the Senate web site where you can select your state and it will tell you your Senator's names and phone numbers. It's that simple and takes no time at all.

Thank you so much for all your support.
