The Downtown Core of Toronto is a thriving Metropolis. The opening of a "SeaQuarium" anywhere in the world is completely unacceptable. The imprisonment of Sea life needs to be only an embarrassing part of our past. Sea life, whales and dolphins in particular, are intelligent and social animals in need of massive space, miles in fact, and their families, in order to live full-filled lives. Putting them in a downtown acquarium is cruel and unusual punishment. Taking these animals out of the wild, away from their families, is not entertainment. This is not a tourist draw. Residents, including myself, do not want this. Toronto is very liberal and progressive. To add a SeaQuarium would be a blight and embarrassment to this culturally rich city.

City leaders and the Ministry of Community Safety must realize the residents of Toronto and visiting cities do not want a prison for Sea life Downtown or anywhere else in Ontario.
