Four Simple Words..."I suffer from depression"

We were blown away by this video of 19-year-old Kevin Breel and his honest and poignant account of his struggle living with depression the past six years. If someone in your life suffers from depression, or if you don't think anyone in your life suffers from depression, you need to watch this video -- because you may not realize it if they do.

"The world I believe in is where where embracing your light doesn't mean ignoring your dark. The world I believe in is one where we are measured by our ability to overcome adversities not avoid them. The world I believe in is one where I can look someone in the eye and say, 'I'm going through hell,' and they can look back at me and go, 'Me too,' and that's okay. Because depression is okay."

Well said Kevin, well said. We are with you. Are you?

Remember that there is always HOPE, and it's people like Kevin who continue to inspire us and remind us that starting positive conversations around depression are what will help break down the stigma. If you haven't already, join our efforts by taking our Pledge to Plant: http://www.causes.com/actions/1748678-help-us-end-the-stigma-of-depression-pledge-to-plant-a-sunflower

How you can help

The number one auto fill in Google when you search 'school makes me' is 'depressed'.
