An update about the campaign to

Advocate for safe clothing factories in Bangladesh

Update #2 ·

Update on May 13, 2013

The campaign for safe workplaces in Bangladesh reached a major milestone this morning!

H&M and Inditex (Zara brand) have agreed to join with PVH (Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein brands) and Tchibo in a fire and building safety program for their garment factories in Bangladesh. This is a significant victory, especially because H&M is the largest buyer of apparel from Bangladesh.

Now it's time for JC Penney to follow suit! During this key moment for worker safety, please invite your friends (http://www.causes.com/actions/1751440-jc-penney-end-deathtraps-join-bangladesh-safety-agreement?open_dialog=inviter) to sign International Labor Rights Forum's (ILRF) petition demanding that JC Penney adopt real fire and building safety before the next disaster strikes!
