Smaller trainer-to-trainee ratio. More officers in basic training. More avenues for trainees to report misconduct, including a direct hotline to sexual assault response counselors. While these are signs of a good faith effort on the part of the Air Force to deal with the latest military sexual abuse scandal, the new report about Lackland Air Force Base scandal will not fix the silent epidemic in our armed forces.
