Update on June 13, 2012
Thank you for signing the petition! Our national heroes shouldn't have to wait to receive the care they need and we certainly aren't waiting to support them.
We can't afford to delay when every day, 18 veterans are committing suicide in the U.S. Speaking at a recent suicide prevention conference, Bryan Adams, a Purple Heart veteran, recounted his struggles to reintegrate back into society after his deployment in Iraq. After multiple alcohol binges and bouts of depression, Bryan was ultimately diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) – a condition that all too often leads to veteran suicides. Vets like Bryan need our help to get follow-up mental health appointments within the 14-day window that the VA promises. Please enlist your friends to sign the petition and join in the battle to support our country's bravest! http://bit.ly/K2j3nt
