You can help families survive East Africa's historic drought
Dear Causes Supporter,
Millions of families in the Horn of Africa are facing starvation because of the region's worst drought in 60 years. People are still on the move seeking food and water, and the UN has declared six regions of Somalia to be famine zones.
Mercy Corps supporters are already making an enormous difference (http://www.mercycorps.org/hornofafricahungercrisis?source=9810&utm_source=Facebook&utm_medium=web&utm_campaign=Facebook_Fans&utm_content=Causes%2BEmail%2BUpdate%2BSept22) in Ethiopia, Kenya, and Somalia, where we're helping more than 800,000 people survive the drought. We're trucking in hundreds of thousands of liters of water, bringing in emergency fuel to keep water pumps running, providing vaccinations and medical care, and distributing emergency food rations across the region.
The Prem Rawat Foundation (TPRF) and Mercy Corps have launched a matching campaign (http://www.causes.com/campaigns/173360?cause_id=381473) to raise $30,000 to support this work.
Each dollar you contribute toward our efforts during the month of September will be matched by a 50 cent donation from TPRF.

Please help spread the word about this crisis. Together we can help families survive.
