a5c7b9f00b The first class of X-Men, led by two very powerful mutants named Charles Xavier and Eric Lensherr, join together to stop a ruthless and powerful dictator from thrusting Russia and the U.S. into nuclear war. But Eric has his own agenda, and it soon rips him and his best friend apart.
Before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Before they were archenemies, they were closest of friends, working together, with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop the greatest threat the world has ever known. In the process, a rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto's Brotherhood and Professor X's X-MEN.
Since X-men 3 was a bit disappointing, I was a little apprehensive about watching this, even with Matthew Vaughn directing. Luckily, it proved to be worth the £10 I payed (particularly with it not having 3D which made a nice change).<br/><br/>One thing I was keen to spot was continuity with the other films, and for the most part it was very accurate, though the ending did not fit in with Xavier&#39;s paralysis occurring about 20 years too early (You see him walking in a flashback in X3 which is set a good 20 years after first class).<br/><br/>Aside from that, I found the film to be an incredibly enjoyable and rewarding experience. The actors chosen worked well, particularly with James McAvoy playing a younger Xavier. There was a good balance between character development, action and the odd bit of humour, particularly from a memorable Cameo.<br/><br/>All in all, this is easily the best of the X-Men series, with an engaging and well thought out storyline and some brilliant effects and cinematography.<br/><br/>A must see!
First of all I will tell that this movie was awesome when I watched it I really felt that I should watch it again and again and I had also watched its sequel days if the future past which was also good.<br/><br/>I started to like x men from thus movie until I had watched x men the last stand which was really disgusting unbalanced film.<br/><br/>The action was superb no doubt but the story was also not boring this flicks have to be made the acting was good the direction by Mathew Vaughn was also good.<br/><br/>I will say that this movie was overall good and there is no negative point I founded in this movie.
Perfectly fine summer folderol, epic enough on its own terms if not quite big enough to expand beyond its genre and matter to people who find it difficult to care about characters who spit gobs of flaming phlegm. I realize there are fewer and fewer of us, but we're a hardy band and stubborn.
Young Charles Xavier (<a href="/name/nm0564215/">James McAvoy</a>), newly graduated from college after submitting his dissertation on mutantism, comes to realize that there are more mutants like himself in the world and sets out, with the help of CIA agent Moira MacTaggert (<a href="/name/nm0126284/">Rose Byrne</a>), to find them. While assembling a team of young mutants, including Raven/Mystique (<a href="/name/nm2225369/">Jennifer Lawrence</a>), Angel Salvatore (<a href="/name/nm2368789/">Zoë Kravitz</a>), Hank McCoy/Beast (<a href="/name/nm0396558/">Nicholas Hoult</a>), Sean Cassidy/Banshee (<a href="/name/nm2655177/">Caleb Landry Jones</a>), Alex Summers/Havok (<a href="/name/nm1395771/">Lucas Till</a>), and Armando Muñoz/Darwin (
