a5c7b9f00b Picking up directly from the previous film, vampire warrior Selene and the half werewolf Michael hunt for clues to reveal the history of their races and the war between them.
Selene wishes to expose the truth about the death of Viktor to the first true vampire Marcus that is hibernating. However, Marcus has already awakened and wants to release his savage Lycan brother William, who has been imprisoned for centuries. When Marcus tries to get the medal possessed by Lucian from Michael, Selene decides to visit Andreas Tanis, the exiled official historian of the covens, to understand his interest. When Selene and Michael meet Tanis, they disclose the truth about their bloodlines, and later with the support of Alexander Corvinus, Selene faces the powerful Marcus as the last hope left for mankind.
What a wonderful director, with a wonderful great and realistic special effects.. The sequel to the $100 million worldwide hit, "Underworld: Evolution" continues the saga of war between the aristocratic Death Dealers and the barbaric Lycans (werewolves). The film traces the beginnings of the ancient feud between the two tribes as Selene (Kate Beckinsale), the beautiful vampire heroine, and Michael (Scott Speedman), the lycan hybrid, try to unlock the secrets of their bloodlines. The fast-paced, modern-day tale of deadly action, ruthless intrigue and forbidden love takes them into the battle to end all wars as the immortals must finally face their retribution.

don't u ever try to avoid or skip the original one.. a must seen..!!
I don't remember much about this sequel other than it underwhelmed what little expectations I had going into it. The first movie is decent, but not anything to write home about. This one is much worse, and deadly dull in my opinion. For starters it's dreary looking; I didn't get the vibe I did from Kate Beckinsale like I did in the first one. She was one of the main reasons I didn't mind the first one, but here I didn't get that same feeling. It has some alright action scenes; Bill Nighy always adds class to anything he's in, but there just wasn't anything special about this movie. I'd like to know why this is rated 6.6?; I personally think it's around the 5 mark or so, and that is way too high for such an average sequel.

Final Thoughts: If you liked the first one, you may enjoy this one. If you thought the first one was merely decent, than you might feel differently like I did. Has it's moments, but not nearly enough of them from what I can remember.

5/10
Underworld Evolution has antecedents in literature ("Dracula"), film ("The Matrix") and song ("Don't It Make My Brown Eyes Blue"). How does it rip off so much, yet learn so little?
With the newly-awakened Marcus (Tony Curran) on their tail, Selene (Kate Beckinsale) and Michael (Scott Speedman) go in search of vampire historian Andreas Tanis (Steven Mackintosh) in order to learn why Marcus so desperately wants Selene and a pendant that she has possessed since childhood. Tanis puts Selene in touch with Alexander Corvinus (Derek Jacobi), now calling himself Lorenz Macaro, who explains that the pendant is a key to the prison where William (Brian Steele) has been confined for over half
