Can you help make an Avary miracle happen?
Dear Avary Friends and Family,
The holidays are difficult for any family when mom or dad is in jail, but sometimes a crisis can make everything worse. Yesterday we got a call from Connie, one of our amazing grandparents who is caring for 7 children in her home. She is an energetic loving woman who is making sure her "grand-babies don't fall through the cracks", getting them mentors, piano lessons, art classes, anything that can help make these children grow into healthy young adults. She has mobility problems but manages with a big 7 passenger van, ferrying kids from school to enrichment classes. Last week her van's transmission broke, leaving her to manage her very busy life with out a car. The repair estimate was $3000. There was no way she could pay. Avary's amazing program coordinator Zoevina called the mechanic and managed to get the cost cut in half. Connie can afford $1000 of the repair, leaving her $500 short.
Twenty five people giving $20 a piece would make this small holiday miracle happen. I personally pitched in $50 to get things started. Please consider making a donation to help this family out!

Each year 100 children and teens attend Camp Avary, a special camp for children with a parent in prison or jail. Many youth describe this experience as life-changing. Camp is free to participants, but for many of our cash strapped families getting the supplies together for camp can be challenging. Your donation of $20 make sure each camper is supplied with a water bottle, sunscreen, bug spray…
