Twitter, newsletter, and a trip to Thailand
As I write Aaron Blue, the charis project's director, is in Thailand. He visited the children's home in Kamphaeng Phet and brought them money to invest in a pig raising business for food and profit as well as growing mushrooms to sell, and expanding the bathroom to better accommodate all of the children.
We are looking into purchasing land for the children's home to build on so that they are able to have a bigger garden and more options for businesses as well.
(It's thanks to friends like you that we are even able to consider any of this, let alone make it happen.)
He then spent 4 days in Tak province teaching and training the pastors and community workers we have contact with there.
You may not be aware of this, but we send out a monthly newsletter to all of our friends and supporters to keep you up to date with all that we are doing. If you don't get the newsletter yet, and would like to, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with the word newsletter in the subject heading and we will be sure to add you to our subscription list.
Also, we have a twitter account as well. Aaron has been posting updates of his trip there. To follow, or just to read them all if you don't twitter, go to http://twitter.com/CharisProject.
Thanks for supporting us. Please keep in touch,
Carrien Blue-Serving the Servants

The work of caring for vulnerable families and children living in orphanages takes time, and must be built slowly through relationships in the community if it is to last. Your support is needed so that this work can go forward and lasting solutions can be achieved for children in crisis today. Please support our end of the year giving campaign
