Update #2 ·

Celebrating the first 1600+ signatures!

Congrats! We have more than surpassed our initial goal!!

On October 6 the initial goal was 1000 supporters. I smiled as I saw the first signature of our dear Lucilla Fuller Marvel, and since then, more than 1400 people have joined in. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to each and everyone of you. We have come together from all walks of life to follow the goal for a sustainable life and that simple act makes us friends. Community.

Now it's time to raise the bar. The more we are, the stronger we will be. Now more than never we need to continue sharing the word and ask for more support. I know we are all trying to get back to some new "normal". Facing a myriad of survival challenges every single day. But...is this a new "normal"? I don't think so.

Power outages and communications disruptions have been our norm for many years and the gravest hurricane of the century has been our ultimate wake up call. On the up side, we have realized that without collaboration we just cannot move forward. We have also realized that this event is a game changer.

Rebuilding what we have been living with another ten years, five, or even two more years can be a worse nightmare than the Hurricane itself. We cannot wait any longer. Old ways aren' t discarded just because they don't make sense. It takes unified voices and action. Advocacy.

Simply put: our expensive electric system is a bankrupt government monopoly that has been serving themselves for decades. Affordable access to clean energy, decentralized systems, are key to reach the goals of all. For many states and countries, decentralized renewable energy is no longer a dream but a proven success.

Puerto Rico: Let's demand this NOW.

Please press the link, sign and share, share, share. Discuss. Comment. And let's come together and raise 2500 voices.

Why not? :)

Thanks again and renewable hugs!

Cristina
