It gives the community power to decide what they want to do about it. I'm trying to weigh out the good (deterrent for shooters, protection for students, ect.) vs. the bad(accidental shootings, gun presence in school, ect.) and i'm not really sure which situation is better. But because we haven't yet as a world removed the existence of guns entirely but instead made them bigger, faster, and deadlier, i'm not naive enough to think we could EVER eradicate guns entirely. That means the bad guys will always have them. Shouldn't the good guys be allowed to as well? We give cars to teenagers everyday. We teach them and test them to make sure they know how to use it properly and then we trust them to use it well. Why shouldn't we do the same for guns...?
