Disabled Military Retiree-Veterans must not be penalized for being medically retired through no fault of their own service to our county. Reducing a federally retired service members pay dollar for dollar with VA disability pay undermines the sacrifice of these military members who were retired with under 20 years of service.
Please support H.R. 333, the Disabled Veterans Tax Termination Act, which expands eligibility for the CRDP. This legislation would provide concurrent receipt to military retirees with 20 or more years of service who are rated less than 50 percent disabled; eliminate the 10-year phase-in for retirees rated less than 100 percent; and, allow individuals who were forced into retirement under the Temporary Early Retirement Authority to apply for Combat-Related Special Compensation (CRSC).
