My main opposition to this is due to the fact that many schools are already severely underfunded and underresourced. Including and especially in some cases access to counselors at the school. It's really inconsistent to say we care about kids when we want to have more guns around and not when we are seeing kids falling through the cracks academically because we aren't investing in all of them. Why don't we care about every child's success? It would be beneficial for our whole country if every student reached their potential. This should be the priority The academic and emotional success of every child in America.
