This is absolutely abhorrent. The livelihoods and welfare of children should not be tied to a bill concerning the limits of our surveillance state. We were told that increased surveillance would be a temporary measure to prevent terrorism after 9/11. The federal government has committed significant overreach, and our surveillance state only continues to grow. The data trawled by the NSA often collects citizen information without a warrant, and then stores it indefinitely to be accessible to federal employees. This is specifically what the founding fathers aimed to prevent when creating our protections against unreasonable search and seizure.
