I worked as an RN for 30 years in labor and delivery. There is no such thing as a late term abortion! Never saw one, period!
Labor may be induced early if the child has a birth defect that’s incompatible with life. The physicians give the mother a choice, either carry the baby to term, deliver, and let the child pass; or, induce labor early, and let the mom and dad hold the baby while they die.
Hospitals have ethics committees. They would never allow a late term abortion & no doctor in their right mind would do a late term abortion in an outpatient abortion clinic.
No doctor is going to risk being sued for malpractice or losing their medical license.
If your baby had very little brain, called anacephaly, would you want to be forced to carry to term only to have the baby die?
There is NOTHING wrong with inducing labor early for those moms. These are babies with NO chance of survival. You can’t do a brain transplant.
The national organization for OB/Gyn have standards of care. No women is permitted to be induced before 38 weeks, unless the mom or baby are in danger. Sometimes the placenta stops working well. Those babies often need to be delivered early.
Moms with hypertension of pregnancy (preeclampsia) often have to be delivered early to save the mother and baby.
Get your facts straight, and stop spewing this nonsense.
