I believe the practices implemented by the original FISA law passed after 9/11 have aided in keeping Americans safe at home and should be continued. The added protections provided by this law should help reduce the Big Brother fear many citizens have regarding the abuse of our civil liberties stoked by FISA. All laws are only as good as their application. At the moment, we are living with an administration that doesn't care about civil liberties, the Constitution or the independence of the different branches of government. Unless Congress does something to reign in the autocratic tendencies exhibited over the last year, reauthorizing this practice can only lead to abuse and a total loss of liberty. This should be part of a larger plan to truly protect the citizens and our Constitution.
