I recently spent a great deal of time in the VA as my father was there following a heart attack. The disrespect we were shown was horrifying. One doctor said to my mother "there are only so many times you can put humpty dumpty back together again". The care is sloppy and careless. My father ended up passing away, when I believe he shouldnt have. Following an intubation and sedative he coded and I don't believe this should have happened. I believe negligence was the problem and these people shouldn't be protected just like any other working class person isn't when they show someone disrespect especially a veteran.
