As a former gas station employee, in order for a gas station to pass its health and safety inspections bathrooms must meet their minimum requirements. In this case it's a matter of how many people work a shift and how often they are able to check restrooms and maintenance them. Personally as a former gas station employee it wasn't for a lack of trying to keep restrooms clean, it was more about how people in general don't really have bathroom etiquette, and have a general disregard of the next person who might use the restroom. Most adults have that courtesy and mindfulness to practice cleanliness, but all to often its the younger kids that don't care, or its that disgruntle person who had a bad day who thinks that by leaving a mess is his way of getting back with the cashier who didn't let him have his way. Nonetheless people should practice etiquette and manners, employees do enough and meet the minimum requirements of city health inspections if they have a "B" or "A" health rating which is always displayed for all consumers and potential customers to see. Frankly it's such a shame that such a topic should resort to being resolved in a political manner.. It only shows that people in a mass majority are very unhygienic!
